On Saturday, June 1, 2013, KIDS Reading Across Rhode Island, Rhode Island’s One Book, One State community read program for kids, is kicked off its 4th year at the RI Statehouse!
Background: This program, offered in partnership with the Rhode Island Center for the Book at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, encourages students across the state in grades 4 through 6 to read the same book, and engage in community discussions and programs.
The Program: Inside Out & Back Again author Thanhha Lai spoke with children and their families from across the state and gave a book signing. It was a huge success!
