Letters About Literature Awards presented at William Hall Library on Wednesday, June 10, 2015

The Rhode Island Center for the Book at The Rhode Island Council for the Humanities honored the 2015 Letters About Literature award recipients at William Hall Library in Cranston on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015.

Close to 50,000 young readers from across the country participated in the national contest sponsored by the Center for the Book at the U.S. Library of Congress.

Teachers, librarians and parents submitted over 700 letters responding to the prompt: Write a personal letter to an author whose work (either fiction or nonfiction) changed your view of the world or yourself.
